Nope... I've got a saloon one that we're going to try out, see if it works!
What are your plans for the load bay?
As yet, not entirely sure. Thinking about maybe a wooden load bay with some leather/vinyl trimming on the actual sides, but only go half way up. But that's still very much undecided... My main aim is to get the van on the road, to be honest

Beat you to that one too...
Because I put the extra bulkhead in behind the seats I just cut it flush with that and glued it down. Mk1 door seals dont hold the carpet though, so it'll need gluing into place. Theres also the cutout for the fusebox on the inner wing you'll have to hide somehow - I made up a little switch box to cover it

But it was just a thought - As I'm having problems with Reggie's carpet at the moment - It's all in different sections, so they keep coming apart and moving etc

Well done on all the work that you have put into Frankie - I cant wait to see him thundering around Hereford!
Just wondering how things are going with the subframes? Did you decide to have them galvanised as well, or just sandblasted and powder coated? Did you manage to find someone in Hereford to do them for you? I would be interested to know as I am planning a second rebuild after mine is complete!!
Malvern on the 26th then? I will see you there!!
Cheers, Simon

I think, though, we're not going to go for the galvanising! As fantastic as it is, I think it works out to be more expensive than I had really wanted - Because I've now got a place lined up that will do both front and rear, blasted and powder coated for £60 - So think we'll go for that option! I'm trying to keep costs down on the van as much as possible, to be honest - I could quite easily go mental and spend thousands on it... but I just don't have it!
I really appreciate all the advice on it though - it is definitely something that I will look into for future projects (the '25 for instance, which will also have every penny that I have ploughed into it!)
And yep! Will see you at Malvern!

I did, however, go shopping a little at Malvern!
Returned with my fibreglass dash and some rear window seals!
Rear window seals were so pricey!
