Looking good.

I managed to get all 4 bolts in on the stand but i have a different stand, was a tight fit though. Glad to see your progress, it'll probably be done before mine!

Ah well its standing ok and quite firmly. The 4 bolts are supposed to take over 250kg so 2 will be fine.

Not sure if min e will be finished before yours marc, I only get to work on it when I come home (about once every 2 months) for a weekend or so so at the moment im stock up on shiny bits!

I will be using the allspeed frame but I may have to modify if it depending on the manifold I choose to use. Im keeping my eye out on the MVaux turbo convirsion too.

Well today I set to on cleaning up the roll cage and getting some new paint on it. i have decided to go for a simpl;e black hammerite on the cage from spray can as they seem to be giving a good finish.

Posted Image

I have also taken all of the glass out and stripped the interior out today, to give me a chnace of assesing the rust.

Posted Image

I have in the boot 2 new A panels waiting to go on. Although i have never done any body work on the car yet I thought I would get stuck in with the grinder. What I found was tonnes of filler and found myself confused at how the panel was attached.

Posted Image

I did eventually get it off with a bet of swearing and help from the big knocking stick.

Posted Image

Now im not one for body work so im unsure on how to go about putting the new one on. I know there is a well at top and bottom but shouldnt there be a could of spot welds on the way down? As I can see what these are surposed to attach to. Any help apreciated!

After taking the A panel off I set to checking the other holes and rust spots. I think a few patches and a couple of panels will be required.

They do look good in black. Hopfully they will look alot better when I I get the car welded and in its cream and black paint scheme. Will also look much better when its lower with correct arches.
