Painted by page 100?
It has been an epic read - cannot wait to see her in paint - though kind of don't want it to end

Since you forced us on to page 99, I doubt it! Haha.

Well with my track record, there's a bit to go yet! Even so, it won't end when she's back on the road. I've barely started!

I've been slowly reading this topic. This is one very good methodical rebuild. Nice colour scheme too, works well with the fine detailing. Top work squire!
Thankyou sir .
I've just looked through the pictures from today and to be honest, they're all boring and rubbish so I'm not going to put them up as it doesn't really describe anything.
Basically, I put another coat of paint on the tabs on the underside so they're nicely protected now. Painted the wheel side of the inner wing where I had cut the holes for the side repeater wiring so they're all good now.
I also had a faff with the fit of the bonnet to see if I could get it any better.
Next on the to do list is a few small bits of grinding here and there and then getting the doors finished off.
Thanks for looking :).

Looking good Adam, need to get a wiggle on though!!
Cheers Sean. Yeah I know, it needs to get done!
I do have a legitimate reason for the down time but it's best left unmentioned really. Just have to deal with it now and get it sorted!
Onwards and upwards!

Sorry about that

Absolutely! This thread makes me want to get a welder and learn to do this work myself so I too can have some perfection! The attention to detail is so superb, I don't know if anyone else would go to such lengths on your behalf.

Himley?
My current aim (trying to keep it on the down low because I'm famous for missing them by miles) is to be MOTed in April.
If it's on the road Himley will be on the cards.
James, trust me the car is far from perfect. If I had the money to pay someone to do the bodywork, I definitely would have done. I'm glad I saved all that money but I don't doubt the job could have been done better by someone with more experience than myself.

good to see you're still plodding along!! wiring is looking good! what are you using to clean it up??
Ed
Just soap and water Ed, didn't want to use anything else as I didn't want to run the risk of it damaging anything.
Tempted to read this from the start...but then there will be no time to work on my own Mini!
Haha, that is very true!
