Got a few bits and bobs primed up.
Sorted out the rough bits on the rear subframe and etch primed any bare metal bits.
Been layering up some orange on this, shows off the colour well.
Rear subframe touched up with paint.
Bits and bobs painted.
Driver side underneath.
Passenger side underneath.
Rear floor cleared out and hoovered so I could start stripping the black stuff off it.
Same done for the front floor.
I'm hoping that the paint will have dried enough tomorrow to allow me to put the subframe back together and put it back on the car so I can get her rolling again. If not, there are plenty of other things that need doing which I can get on with for a day.
Thanks for looking .

I was just in the process of putting the brakes back on to the rear back plates but I've left my copper slip at the garage like a right lemon so they'll have to wait until tomorrow now.

It's becoming clear that if one doesn't come with the new board software I'll have to write one for us haha.Where is the "like" Button?
Went to the garage again today but the paint on the underside wasn't dry so I got on with some odds and ends that needed to be done anyway.
Built up the brake assemblies. From the top.
From the bottom.
Please say if you see anything out of place, following the pictures in the Haynes manual was not as easy as you'd expect.
Both of them done.
Wonder how long these will stay this colour?
Subframe built back up so I can get her rolling again to work on the front.
Mmmm sticky underseal.
Applied to the top of the subframe.
Sanded the dented area in the bootlid.
Applied some filler.
Turned my attention to the lip.
All welded up.
I shall see about that paint tomorrow. I'd like to be able to spin it round and start work on the front bits tomorrow.
Thanks for looking .

I am indeed Graham, however this will be done at a later date, after the whole car is painted. I want to give the Rustoleum as much time to cure as I can afford it as it does take a while!Looking great. Have you / are you going to put underseal straight on top of the underside top coat?? Also what are you using and is it the stuff that stays 'wet'??
Graham
The stuff I've applied to the subframe is from Tetroseal, it doesn't completely dry, if you push on it with your finger after it's cured it'll smear a bit and leave you with a sticky finger. I'm considering adding a small amount of oil to the mix to see if that will reduce how much it sets a bit more. It definitly isn't coming off anyway!

Cheers .looks good dude! glad all the fabrication is done! fun bit starts now! haha cant wait to see more!
Wait no longer! Although not a massive update.
I felt ill over the weekend, hence the lack of updates the past two days. I think I've kicked it now so I shall be cracking on strong again this week .
Got her rolling and turned her round so I can start on the front.
Frame out! Will be rebuilt before it goes back in.
Up in the air, look at that nice black floor, mmm.
Lip held in place with slef tappers, think it's about right.
Distance from valance curve to lip seems uniform.
Bumper test fitted, all looks good to me.
Tomorrow I'll finish fettling that lip, prime it up and get it welded on.
Thanks for looking .

Thanks Hugh. I know what you mean, much easier reading than doing . Reading can be such an inspiration though!Great to see you at this stage - wish I was. But it's sheer hard work. It looks so easy when you read someone's posts but doing it is entirely different. Really looking forward to seeing it back on its wheels.
Hugh
Did a few little bits today:
Holes made for plug welding and weld through primer applied.
Weld through primer applied to the front panel, ignore the holes, they'll be welded up.
Turned my attention back to the interior floors.
One down, three to go.
Had a bit of a lazy week for various reasons. Going to start back hard on this on Monday .
Thanks for looking .
