Not a work update but an update of the project none the less.

Changed my plans a little bit for how Elliot is going to look, here is a photoshop:

I decided that I really wanted to put the bumper back on, I should never have taken the bracket off the front. That means I can use the grille I already bought with the spots in it. It looked strange with no bumper, but since the bumper is going back on I can use it.

Revision is taking up my time for a few weeks now, then I'll be back to it!

Cellulose is winning Pete, I sprayed some rustoleoum as neatly as I could and it came out rough and crap looking. The difference in cost is only about £100 anyway when you factor in the various thinners and stuff for each. Rustoleum is just being used on the underside bits which no one will see. It's all getting caked in underseal anyway.

I'm doing my best but I'm bogged down with revision at the moment :P.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Ed, it's not like they're hard to fit or anything so it's no problem. I don't know how they're going to look with the Wipac Clearforms anyway so we shall see :shifty:.

TheAngryFerret, I'm glad it's inspired you . I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a Mini again.

Still soldiering on with revision and exams so no "real" work to show. I do have a small update though.

I've always hated the position and fixing of the foglight on Minis, because it wasn't required when they were first produced many didn't have them. When they became a legal requirement, naturally they just got stuck on afterwards and have always looked like an after thought (because they are).

I wanted to get away from the big bulky thing so my original plan was to mount a small square Ring foglamp in the center under the rear bumper, then I came across this which is perfect for what I wanted to do. It was delivered today:

It mounts with just three holes in the rear valance, one for the wiring and 2 for the screws and because of it's shape it should sit against the valance nicely. I think a few of you on here might already be using these, but other than that I'm keeping it zipped as to what car it's from :).

Thanks for looking!
