Really like the 3rd position, seems to flow a bit better in my eyes.

Nice work though Adam, keep it up!

Yeah they are a bit pricey, I've forgotten the exact cost (please don't remind me haha), but I know they hurt the bank balance for what they do. I think they're worth it though, they look brilliant.

I think my courtesy light switch in to the alarm will be enough of a deterrant if someone does bother to try and have a look under the bonnet.

Cheers Jack! I shall keep it up :ermm:.

Just to be awkward then I’ll go for the 2nd one, but then that’s what I’ve done with my bonnet pins.

I like the 2nd pin position. Have you thought of sandwiching ally sheet between resin and mat where you're gonna have pins under the bonnet? Just fibreglass won't make a huge difference to the rigidity.

Hehe, seems there is an equal crowd for each position.

Pete, doing this to my bootlid made it a shedload more rigid, but then again thats also bonded to my bootlid frame. I shall see how it goes. If it's still not strong enough in my eyes I shall definitly do that, I need to buy some alloy sheet anyway. Cheers :ermm:.

1st position, but get either the side of the Aerocatch or it's centre line parallel with the bonnet edge - from the photos it looks like you have it about halfway between the two.

As you say it is how it was meant to be Graeme, it was just hard to get a photo when I had to stand on a toolbox to get above it, hehe.

Sorry there's been no updates for a few days, I had a few days where stuff was just not going the way I wanted so I didn't feel like updating. However, after some fighting with the old metalwork stuff is now looking up so here's a nice 14 picture heavy update for you :).

Passenger side a-panel welded in place.

Posted Image
Driver side a-panel welded in place.

Posted Image
A bit of panel reworking was needed here as the folded over lip was too big and using too much of the steel to close the gap so I reworked it. Don't mind my permanent marker note to myself!

Posted Image
Really loving how she's shaping up. Makes me feel good about how she's going to look without the front bumper.

Posted Image
Top view of wing clamping up nice.

Posted Image
Rubbed down areas under wings.

Posted Image
Tother side.

Posted Image
Got a bit mental with the red oxide and the spray gun, better protected than not though.

Posted Image
Passenger side flitch.

Posted Image
Driver side.

Posted Image
Driver side door gaps.

Posted Image
Passenger front gap.

Posted Image
Passenger rear gap.

Posted Image
How she's sat overall.

I'm quite pleased with the door gaps now, took alot of tapping and hammering here and there but it was worth it!

Job to start now is drilling the holes for plug welding and getting the wings in place then I can start welding up the front end.

Thanks for looking ;).

Nice project, look forward to seeing it all finished and back on the road, all you will need is a nice number plate to finish it off :)
