Once the welds are cleaned up and the reinforcing plates are welded on and cleaned up, the subframe will be bolted up to the heel board and then the rear will be raised and the hooles drilled using the subframe as a guide :). Then I'll weld in the top floor to wheel arch brackets, job done!

Why thankyou kind sir!

I'm so much happier with the boot floor in comparison with the hack job I did on it last time.

I'm having a very unfun time trying to undo the bolt on the outside of the radius arms, should have done it when they were on the subframe, doh.

If you need to buy wire locally I'm sure EK's stock it or, failing that, Arc-Rite at Heysham.

In fact - Screwfix do it too!!

We have a screw fix?!

I shall check EK's next time I'm down there, I need some more cutting discs anyway. Cheers Graeme.

Here's todays work:

Posted Image
Finished off the welding inside the boot.

Posted Image
Plug welded the arch lips and seam welded where I had to cut in order to form the metal.

Posted Image
Offered bumper up but it wasn't having any of it, did some measuring and corrected my rear panel some.

Posted Image
All plug welded up.

Posted Image
View from inside the boot, you can see the heat penetration in the far corner.

Posted Image
Bumper offered up again, now as a nice even gap inbetween it and the body.

Posted Image
Boot lid offered up as well.

Posted Image
Then the army wanted to know what the hell I was doing. Haha.

That's all for today folks, so tired now.

Screwfix is on White Lund - turn right onto the estate just past Asda, straight down, through the lights, keep going and it is on the left just before you get to the T-junction at the Fiat garage.

Haha, my apologies :).

I'm not going to have any time after september, really need to keep on with it . 2 weeks and the remainder of this week still to work on it. After that, it's back to just weekends. I really need to get it painted before it gets too cold, I don't want to have to leave it in the garage until next year.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys >_<.

Thats like me, just weekends. It never seems like enough time to get stuck in and make progress.

Are you going to do the spray job yourself?
