It's progressing quietly in the background. I'll make an update when I start painting :).

I'm looking forward to it being done too. It's been too long since I drove a Mini.
I thought yours was fine Jordie?

You can come do some welding on my 72 estate if you want (im currently repairing the rear floor which you cant buy a panel for, so cut a piece from another estate, but it still needs some patching. ive had to joggle and bend sheet metal to suit). Rest of it will hopefully be more straight forward, front floor panels, A panels and the likes of rear door step / rear valance.
Links in my signature if you fancy a look, just got myself a mini to drive daily and sold my "modern" car.

I think if you saw my welding you'd be less keen to get me near your car haha.
Good to be back driving a real car?

I've got a full time job now so progress on the Mini is going to slow a fair bit. It will be finished though, be assured! I just need to get my daily drive in good order and get some weekends in on the Elliot. Once she's painted it should be a down hill run to the finish.

what did you get then for a daily? i remember the facebook convo about diesels.
The diesel market seemed to be a minefield. Rather than go for a high mileage diesel I went for a a small petrol engine. It's just a Peugeot 106 but I like that it's very simple so if anything goes wrong I can sort it myself. It's not much more technical than a Mini really.
Definitely prefer the Mini though! Got an odd job to do on the 106 this weekend and then I'll get some progress made on Elliot (fingers crossed).
