what I'm planning to do is, replace the gasket (without skimming anything), hope it lasts another 3-4 months (so that I won't have to work on it in summer, with the tedious 35 degrees temperatures), and in the meantime I'll be on the lookout for a 1275 engine, as I'm a bit sick of the slooooooow 850 ;)

when you replace head gasket next time put a 50mm long piecs of fuse wire between bores with a smear of hylomar blue than new gasket and torque up head as usual................this will stop inter bore blow................. ;)

and what is hylomar blue? Never heard of it before over here, but if you tell me what is its job, I could maybe think of alternatives.. ;)
