Hi all. After editing some photos for coursework, I came across a happy accident. Basically what is the name of the color of my mini in the pic? its a purple/red color. And what sorta price would the avg cost of a respray cost in it, and respray in that color but with black roof.

thank you all.

Can u not get the R B G numbers from paintshop? if you got those couldnt you get the paint mixed to that specification? i know you would get different shades because of light bouncing of it at different angles, just a thought though!

doesnt work quite like that unfortuntely - its a physics thing.

best bet is to take a section of paint. maybe out the boot area or engine bay and have it scanned / anylised.

I was thinking that or acronite?

I love either of those colours, '70's baby.

I've just read this again, and I now think what you're saying is that you've tweaked the photo in photoshop, and its not actually this colour in real terms?

and what you actually want is a real term colour code that gets close to what you have created in Photoshop?

If thats the case, pack some sandwiches and spend the afternoon down at your local auto-colour outlet and peruse the swatches.

It reminds me of a BMW colour off the 5 series range, and also a Daewoo colour off the laganza if that helps at all?
