Hi guys,

I was told by a friend that there is a classic mini garage in scarbrough in north yorkshire.
Can anybody confirm this? and if so, can they give me directions to it or a website where i can get directions from because i've been searching for a mini in the north east england and can't find any decent ones :) (or the owners of the decent ones i do find don't get back to me, which i think is pretty shocking :P ).
So yeh, any answers is great thanks peeps.

Cheers,

Andrew

There is, but seriously do NOT take your Mini there for any work doing, or buy a Mini from there.

If you're interested it's called the Pavilion Garage on The Crescent, just behind the Brunswick Centre.

Seriously though, I strongly advise you NOT to have any work done or even entertain the guy there!!

To cut a long story short I was sold a complete shed with a dodgy MOT.. and another TMF member was lied to/decieved by the cunning old bloke who actually seems pretty "decent" when you talk to him.

Click here for the other TMF member's topic about how he was decieved and the illegal actions of the garage itself.

hi i have seen a garage with a few mini's in, i am in leeds but often in scarbourgh, if you are coming from the train station towards that suicide bridge, turn left as if you wanted to go to macdonalds or the down to the beach, and there is a garage right in front of you as you reach the mini roundabout and NCP car park, i am not sure if it is still going i last went past 6 months ago.

Cheers for the advice yorkshirechris, i think i'll definitely steer clear of this garage. Sounds like a rip off merchant to me.

Thanks again for heads up.

Andrew

I'm glad you came and asked us for advice... unlike silly me who jumped in at the deep end and got stung!

I'm sure there's a buying guide somewhere on this forum telling you what to look out for and stuff when buying a Mini, if you don't already know (sorry to insult you, don't know how much you know about Minis!).

Have a look in the For Sale section, you never know something might come up near you. Or if you fancy a cabbie to Leeds... mine is for sale :)

It's good to know that people are spreading the word about him, too many dodgy dealers out there!

I don't know that much about them to be honest, just what i've been reading on here for the past few months lol. My dad is clued up about them though because he used to have one quite a few moons ago lol. Probably when he was my age lol.

It looks nice your mini like bud, but it's too much for me lol. I don't have that large a budget and plus i need a 998 - cheaper insurance :).

Aye, well I like to do my bit! I'd hate to think someone else got fleeced by the same guy.

I was up in Scarborough a couple of weeks back, and he only had 3 minis in, and the rest were "normal" cars.. strange.

I am open to offers anyway so if you fancy coming to have a look then let me know :)

You're unlikely to get a mini for under £2000 from a dealer anyway unless it's an absolute box, so you'll be better looking at the private ads :P

Aye i've been looking on the private adds but everytime i've got in contact with someone they never reply or reply like a week later which doesn't put my confidence in them lol, nevermind i'll just keep my eye open for one.

Was in Scarborough and stumbled accross Pavilian Garage accidently, took a couple of pics on my phone, think the mini's for sale were steaply priced.

I actually got mine for £1400 back in November and it's great! Got it from a mini shop in South Benfleet, Essex....you just gotta know where to look
