Did you undo the dizzy clamp? shouldn't need to to fit this kit.

Tried to fit my second one around 2 weeks ago, wired in excactly as instructed, red too coil + and black to standard dizzy earth. Wouldnt start, just cant be arsed with it now, so points went straight back on.

Do you mean you earthed it on the dizzy?

The red goes to + terminal on the coil

The black goes to the - terminal on the coil

Also check the rotor arm is pushed fully home, mine was a very tight fit.

Edit, hello crocks!!

We posted at the same time!!!

Ohh, thats not what the little instructions said it said, red wire on coil + and black wire to the standard dizzy earth, as in the standard wire coming out of the dizy body.

just tried fitting one of these this evening. didnt know about removing the sicky out bit til just now. might drill the hole in the leccy baseplate though as that allows me to refit points in an emergency.

mm69 i know it says to fit red to +ve terminal of coil but a any ignition switched 12v feed is sutiable, this thing with the +ve coil terminal is i dont think its always had a pd of 12v.

thanks for the pics whoever uploaded them.

When i first fitted my kit I ran the 12v feed from the coil live, and I've got ballast setup on mine at the moment (only temp)

It seemed to give the occasional misfire above 4k, and my rev counter seemed to go rather crazy at times.

I've now wired in a 12v feed directly to the module, and it runs a lot better, and seems to start even quicker!

Are they still producing these? You can't buy them on the website.

It says they are out of stock at the bottom but it says not available until further notice at the top :S.

Would rather pay £16 than £70 odd for a lumenition lol.
