not sure on the colour to be honest buddy

it will need to be co-ordinated with the whole cars colour scheme which will run from the exteriour to the interiour to the bay.

I will be doing mine though and pictures will appear one day...this topic might be dead by the time its done though so you'll just need to keep a look out when i begin the project page again

just a quick question, as ive seen a few different ones about what type of paint do you use to paint the engine or recommended?

I have heard that normal smooth hammerite is fine for engines!

How do you guys get the engine bay looking so good. Although I gave my engine a good coat of black not long ago she still looks like a basic 1989 mayfair automatic. Apart from a chrome rocker cover what can I do to hide the other dirty and worn bits ( wiper motor, Air filter etc ). I'm not looking for a show piece and can't afford to spend a lot but have any of you got any tips on how to tart her up !

The best thing to do is just remove each grubby part, degrease and clean it and then repaint it and eventually re-fit. The filter can be replaced with an after-market one and there are loads of chrome bits available. Just take your time and work on one area at a time.

What's the hose on your thermostat air bleed Bud? - the silicone hose I've got is twice as thick :(

Just some regular silicone bong pipe, think its 6mm off the top of my head.
