Heater matrix replaced and the water system topped up. Took it for a test last night and it was getting seriously hot in the cabin but the engine temp stayed OK (is that supposed to happen?)

Just got to swap a couple more tyres (the side walls on Camacs are like kids balloons) and get the wheels balenced and we're good to go.

Got spendies, got sh*t loads of camping gear (hope it fits) just got to book some sunny weather for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.....

Today was a bad day. Very bad day.

First of all, it appears I didn't solve the idling problem at all. Then my bumper came off. Then the worst thing was went to go out tonight and it started p*ss*ng fuel. Everywhere. It really was like a kangaroo going up the road so I'll have to sort that tomorrow morning and mostly on Sunday.

Its just been an all round banana day. I can't wait for it to end.

On the slight plus side, the seal turned up so now I can do my oil change and fix the leaking selector rod seal. Sunday is going to be a very busy day.

What's really annoying is everything always seem to go wrong just when you need it to behave itself.

Well I don't feel so worried now! I'm currently in Florida, and the Mini as at home on axle stands with a more-thank-likely flat battery. If everything goes to plan we land back in the UK at 6am on Monday. The MOT is booked for 2pm the same day so I've got to get home, put all the wheels back on, charge the battery, bed the new brakes in and get it to the MOT.

Then I've got to be back at work on tuesday, probably completely jet-lagged, work tuesday and wednesday, and then leave my house in Derby at about 7pm, drive to Dover, get the midnight ferry to Dunkerque then drive through France and Belgium to meet all you guys at the hotel! As we won't have a room it'll be a case of grabbing some kip in the car and then driving with the rest of you to the 'Ring.

I'm going to be knackered!! :dontgetit:

Well Ive finally managed to get mine painted last night. Few areas Im not happy with but they will have to be done after germany now.

Just got the interior to put in and a few bits for the MOT at 10am tommorrow (today, its late!) Tax it, before the postie shuts at 12 and hope to drive it.

Got some travel insurance, got some breakdown cover, told my insurance I'm going abroad.

Need to sort abit of camping stuff out over the weekend or last minute monday/tuesday.

Absolutely knackered, but looking forward to it!

I think me and the brother will be setting off early morning to meet you all at Brands!

Well done - I hope you get through the MOT nice and easily, I'm sure you will.

Pie, whats the problem? Is it fixing the car or getting spending money?

getting money. Car is now fixed but the work on the head and buying little bits and bobs for it cost me a small fortune!! Im selling some doors tomorrow and that brings my spending money (inc fuel, food, and beer tokens) to just over £100!!!! :P
megga bad!
Although the car does do just over 200miles on £35 wirth of fuel?!
