Don't really need to run the engine in too much, as its only had new thrusts, haven't touched the pistons, rings, main bearings, etc.
The only other places to go round here to tune the carbs are BD Engineering (more a Weber specialist), or Bill Richards (he's ok at tuning carbs by ear).

Also where is MLM? and when are you planning to go down there, as im going down to newquay on the 2nd till the 9th, so iv got to either try and get the mini sorted before the 2nd and get it tuned up then or get everything near enough done and then get it tuned up one either the 10th, 11th or 12th lol.
Ill give the mini a good long run to try and get the miles up as iv still got to do about 150 before i reach 500 lol, but ill do most of that in a day or 2

Well I'm hoping to get the engine back in this weekend. I'm not sure whether I can get any time off work in the next week or two, so I was thinking about popping down on the 9th. I know I definitely can't get the 11th or the 12th off as I wanted them off anyway and couldn't, saying that, I might be able to wangle an afternoon, but its leaving it quite late...
Jammy, you never learn do you?! lol
Always leave it till the last minute.

Over this last week I've:
Replaced both outer CV joints
Changed the gearbox oil to something resembling actual oil
Changed the brake fluid from 25 year old Silicone *rubbish* to proper Dot 5.1 fluid
Stripped the front suspension on both sides, cleaned and greased everything, checked the ball joints etc
Stripped the rear brakes to check the cylinders, linings and wheel bearings
Fitted a fuel pump inertia switch (something I should have done years ago!)
And most importantly - fitted the wire that lets me listen to my iPod in the Mini

Just got to get it MOT'd next monday when I'm back from America then its job done
