Have you seen the ultimate mini's dvd? there is a mini on there with a turbo 200bhp lump. And it just seems un driveable, as it jumps to the side with torque steer !

My brother has 330 in his rx7 and thats rather scary ! but that is a good chunk heavier than a mini.

Called into my cousins on friday. He has the wings, front panel and a-panels all on now. So coming along nicely.

So I'm on the lookout for a good condition genuine bonnet.
Once he has finished stitching on the last new a-panel he is moving his attention to the back end where it needs a full valence and possibly a boot corner repair panel.

Maybe I'll start buying things for it, or rebuilding the subframes.

TIM Electronic Oil Temp
TIM 1 Bar Boost
TIM Electronic Oil Pressure
Should do the job.

I have gone and bought some Forged Accralite 73.5mm 18cc Pistons.
I have also agreed to buy another intercooler which was used on a turbo mini that ran in the 12's on quarter mile.
So looks like I am going 1380 turbo and will be knocking on the door of 200bhp!

Inside there are 4 of these plus pins and ring sets.

Mmmmmmmmm. I think I need some alone time in the toilet now.

I have just invested in a Quaife ATB diff with 2.95 final drive to help me get the power down.
I have also bought an intercooler setup and plenum from a nice chap on turbo minis as shown fitted to his car below.

A point worth noting is his car was producing about 200bhp and he ran the quarter mile in less than 13 seconds with this cooler.

Fully rebuilt gearbox with Metro turbo challenge SC gearset
Quaife ATB diff with 2.95:1 final drive
Centre oil pickup
Paul Wigington oil baffle tray
Tran-X 1:1 straight cut drops
Minispares lightweight steel flywheel
Double grey diaphragm & rally clutch plate
2 bolt centre main strap
reground & balanced turbo crank
new mains & shells
standard a+ rods with ARP bolts
new cam bearings
Avonbar phase 2 turbo cam
Cast duplex timing gear with offset keyway
Accralite 73.5mm forged 18cc bowl pistons
Ported water jacket
Threaded BSP oil gallery plugs
BENROSS 11 stud works cylinder head with 35.7 & 29mm Valves, Silica bronze valve guides.
ARP head stud set
1.27 ratio pressed steel or 1.3 ratio roller tip rockers (undecided yet)
Standard Metro T3 turbo
Ported T3 exhast manifold & enlarged T3 elbow
Avonbar billet actuator set at 8psi
Metro turbo inlet
Metro turbo carb
Nic Stainless plenum
Custom alloy front mount intercooler
Group 'A' dump valve
Megajolt mapped ignition
Electronic boost controller
Going to aim for a compression ratio around the 8.3-8.5:1 marker so that off boost will be manageable.
At that compression it should still be good for 18psi on the T3 and upto 20psi when I change the turbo for a T25/GT1752
