70ish(guess)
0-60 mph = 13 sec a little slower then Clubby1275GT
0-100 mph = Duno, takes the *yellow human water* after about 70 thou
Top Speed = Off the clock.
planned performance mods
Rebore
Turbo

You wish!998cc
55+ bhp
1973 Mini Clubman, 1275cc Metro engine, stage 1, ported/polished head
65 bhp (estimate)
0-60 mph = eventully
0-100 mph = never tried going that fast
top speed = not done a top speed run.
planned performance mods = none. Working on my blue GT. planned performance mods on that = 1293 turbo, low comp head, avonbar phase 2 cam. Then once its run in, a good rr session, and up the boost a little.

Coopers do 14.8 though!
0-60 on an early 90s cooper is 11.2 not 14.8
1990 Cooper RSP 1275cc engine
0-60 - No idea, never driven it
Top speed - as above really
Planned mods - Stage 4 Morpseed Head, uprated cam, twin carbs.

Topics merged with the one Bluemini linked to!!!!
Thanks Jammy!
Now then, I can do a serious post.
Mine is a 1275 block offset bored to 74mm, standard stroke (1398cc),
Ultralight flywheel and pressure plate,
Kent 286 megadyne camshaft, vernier timing gear,
Soon to be a stage 4/5 head (prollly 36 x 31 valves),
Weber 45 DCOE
Maniflow large bore LCB (might go for a phase 2)
Straight cut close ratio box and drops
I would like to see 100-110 BHP at the wheels
Hopefully will return 0-60s in under 8 seconds (maybe even in the 7's)?
Dunno about the 100 mph stats, I aint bothered about top end!
Wonder if anyone has built similar and could tell me their stats???? That'd be nice

998 block bored +60 thou to 1046cc
crank reground to next size after 1 too many times sideways round roundabouts with the oil light coming on!
cam sw5-07 swifttune kit.
conrods were shaved and polished to a mirror finish.
block was pocketed to alow for exhaust valve clearance.
12g940 head was used. ported and polished as far as could be done. un known valve size but they are large!
double valve springs.
standard rockers.
lightened standard flywheel.
balanced bottom end.
standard clutch.
maniflow stage 1 manifold.
maniflow centre exit 1"3/4 system.
32/36 dgav weber carb, modified to non cold start by the rr as it didnt work too well.
itg foam filter, as big as i could get under a non raised bonnet.
guessworks standard rebuilt gearbox. strengthened diff pin. 3.44. centre pickup.
higher pressure ball and spring for the oil pressure.
afaik minispeed yellow dizzy with electronic ignition and platinum tipped plugs.
rolling road guy spent ages trying to jet the weber as it was not only all over the place but the jets were sizes he wouldnt normally use in a mini! he moaned continuously that it wasnt an su aswell!
ignition was set to 32 degrees with the vac take off on the carb blocked off.
torque figure is 57.9lbft
bhp figure is 58.9 bhp.
both of these figures will go up when its setup again as the valves bounced at 6126 rpm. this is due to the springs in the headd being old and not being replaced when the head was rebuilt.
a NEW head has been purchased for this engine with the intention of getting a double spring kit from swifttune and have this ported and polished. however i recently took on a new project and fifi may not recieve this new head. i dont sit at 6k for long periods anyway as that equates to 110mph. normally i am found a bit slower!
