i want 200 horses, but i'm just going to wind the boost to 20psi and see what it gives really. plus it'll let me find out how much these cheap and cheerful cast pistons can take.

In process of building my current engine is sat somewhere on this thread, 118 bhp at the flywheel and did 143 on gas according to the people who build it up the first time.

next engine.

73.5mm bore
7cc forged pistons (En route)
11 stud 38x28 gas flowed head with isky valve springs
1.75:1 ratio titan rockers (Not decided between 1.5 and 1.7, 1.7 might be abit of over kill)
Kent Cams MD315 or a Kent Cams 475 im un decided.
Venier duplex timeing chain (Bomb proof!)
electric water pump
Turbo oil pump
lightened and balenced A+ (May be specilist components rods, over kill but as they are only twice as much as the work on the crank i might aswell.
4 bolt biliet centre strap (Im not convinved they make that much diffrence but its a cheap addition)
The generic performance box eg stright cut box, cross pin diff and s ratio gears.
flywheel im going to consult force racing on that one thier titanium ones look quite appealing
clutch i havent thought about yet. but defo not a padle clutch i hate the things worst thing in the world trying to get tru town.
As far as final drive i was thinking 3.9-4.2, would be lower but if the engine is going to be capable of 9000rpm might aswell make use of it.

A 40mm weber converted to a throttle body.
as far as ignition goes. mega squirt seems like a good shout.

150bhp at the flywheel is the aim, that will be my last a-series engine im afraid :xmas:

in 2004 i had my car to the stunning cooper works garage and had the 90 bhp (wink!!) kit fitted.

then because rover cant build cars the rot set in (bad times!!!)
so for the last 2 years its been in a blokes garage being pretty much fully hand built, the spec when its complete is as follows:

PERFORMANCE!!!!

-John cooper works 90bhp tunning kit (stage 3 head, 1.5,1 roller tipped rocker, exhaust & manifold, performance inlet manifold, sparkplugs)
-fitted an SW5 profile camshaft but removed it because of fueling issues have now had a mini speed fast road cam fitted
-double valve spring set + new followers
-10 row oil cooler w/smaller filter, braided hoses etc
-vernier duplex timing chain
-73.5mm omega pistons
-over bored block
-84mm stroke ni-tempered, wedge bladded crankshaft
-burlen throttle body54mm
-ignition leads
-SC/CR gears
-3.2-1 final drive 108mph @ 6000RPM!!!!!!
-drop gears
-new clutch
-new steering rack
-pipercross induction kit
-quick shift
-gaz fully adjustable coil overs
-EBC grooved & vented discs, standard calipers w/green stuff pads
-twin fuel tank

EXTERIOR!!!

-bodywork fully de-seamed except roof
-de-bumpered
-wheel arches modified to get rid of the bumps & dints where the bumpers & seams dropped in!
-fog light moved and fabricated into the bum of the car!!!
-bodywork in RED
-roof in silver
-sports pack wheel arches in silver
-bonnet in silver (cooper stripes removed because too many people use them on cars that arent cooper!!)
-Fog light has been fabricated into the back bumper/metalwork

INTERIOR!!!

-standard black/silver milenium edition sports pack interior
-show cage
-dvd player
-speakers uprated + re-wired
-center console & arm rest to match the seats

it's not finished yet but what done so far is stunning!!!
will also be fitting a set of yoko A048R's and possibly some light weight satin black alloys 13" x 7"
and maybe some serious bucket/harnesses & a proper bolt in/weld in cage!!!

will be having a new injection system fitted when he's done!!!
hoping for around 120bhp maybe more!!!!

i also have a 230bhp bmw r53 mini cooper S but i guess that wont interrest many on here :)

twin HS2 carbs
maniflow manifold
RC40 exhaust
Don't know about the spec of anything else, just found out above info when i changed the head gasket.

56bhp @ wheels. Is that ok for the given spec? This is my first mini and i dont really know....

58.9bhp is very good!

and if you were the second most powerful 998 that makes mine the number 1 then... did not expect that.
