I might fit a rev counter temporarily just to see how many revs it's actually doing... would be interesting to see.

S/C drops

Morspeed PH2 camshaft
Duplex timing chain

Tasty that is harber.

makes me want to build a shortened stroke 998  with a +120 thou over bore.

custom grind cam, the bp320 isent lairy enough for an engine capable of 10000 revs really. but you cant go much more then that unfortunately.

just got my engine started for first time on saturday since 2006, my spec is...

was a standard mpi engine 1275, now.....

MED road comp head (stage 3/4)
1295 block, new pistons rings etc...
Swiftune sw5i cam
1.5 high lift roller rockers (swiftune)
Duplex vernier timing kit (swiftune)
Rebuilt gearbox with central pickup
3.44 fd
s/c drop gears 1.1
New bearings all round (gearbox and main, cam bearings)
Janspeed LCB with relocated lambda
Maniflow de-cat
Maniflow cat-back twin box 1.75"
K&N 57i kit
Polished and gas flowed custom manifold
52mm Burlen Throttle body
Forge fuel pressure regulator
MPI high capacity front rad
oil cooler
KAD quick shift

think thats it. Couldn't believe it started nearly first time (after my Haynes told me the wrong way round with my HT leads)
Havent had a chance to see what its putting out, but the closer to 90bhp, the better. Cant wait to see the torque its putting out.
Anyway, thanx

1275cc A+
53HP SPI cam
9.4:1 CR
HIF44 w. MG Metro manifold
Medium bore LCB
RC40 twin box
K&N in Cooper RSP airbox
64DM4 RSP Cooper dizzy

Perfect engine for cruising,
bit weak for uphill-'racing'.

Runs fine with a BAP needle.
