What colour is that?... :kiss:|

Not 100% sure but i think its called java green.
It looks like a good project and least it looks an original not messed about with GT in a great period colour.

It is the same colour just that the GT a the start of this thread has filthy old faded paintwork.

Had a good day with the GT, the engine bay is stripped and is in good condition no rot anywhere just surface rust and some flakey paint.

Started to remove driver side A panel but the weather beat me started to rain and thunder storm but will finish tomorrow and find whats hiding behind...more rust i guess.

Well continued with removal of A panel and found this underneath i guess its repairable.?

Not sure about the last picture thougth the big hole in the door frame at the top....!!!, i guess too far gone?, should i give up??

never give up! anything is repairable it just takes a bit longer.

Just a quick update i have been stripping the car so its a shell the inside dont look to bad, going to remove both subframes today and turn on side some pics of progress.

Seriously the shell looks good apart from the obvious!

Well i thought i was going to remove the front subframe..problem not got a socket big enough think it must be 33/34mm for the tower bolts.

34mm mate,i had to use a huuge 34 mm spanner because they didnt have any 34mm sockets at b&q lol

the actual socket for a 1976 onward subby bolt is a 1 5/16 inch but a 34mm would loosen it off, if you havent got either though get the 1 5/16 inch

and that shell is great! suprising when you get to the bones of things how good it actually is, nice one!!
