Felt a bit guilty not doing anything, so tonite i have been in and done a few jobs.

1. Connected all switches,cables.

2. Fitted wiper motor and arms.

3. Fittted carpet, front only.

Just read the thread from start to finish - been said before but you should feel really proud of what you've achieved, absolutely cracking car and despite the cost (new parts, respray etc don't come cheap) worth every penny! Keep it up

any idea if you are going to aim for a magazine feature? would be lovely to have it featured after all this effort

I dont know about a magazine feature, i'm sure there are rebuilds on here worth a feature rather than mine.

As work commitments have taken over in the last 2 months i have managed at last today to actually get into the garage and fit the boot.
Rather pleased with the outcome.

Looking good. Stick at it, mine took 3 years but worth it all when the people turn their heads as you pass ! :dontgetit:

Oh, by the way. I had the same prob with my beesting aerial (assuming thats what the previous post referred to). Nut on the inside worked loose so had to get to it. Instead of taking the screen out or roof lining out entirely I just peeled a little bit away from where it tucked into the sunroof. Just enough to slide your hand in so not to stretch the lining. Fit the aerial then glue the liner back into the sunroof trim.

Just read your whole project, looks great and the colour really suits it. If the engine turns over by hand then it could be worth while putting a new oil filter on and fresh oil and try starting it. You never know, there might be nothing wrong with it.

Keep up the good work.
