Sorry to bring up an old thread but I might be buying a metro steering column, how will this affect insurance for me? Its going to be high enough with a metro turbo engine at 17 
?? anyone know??

As you can see in the photo, I have welded mine to the dash rail on the cage. You could easily use the existing bracket and make brackets to the new column.
I don't know what the splines are on the Metro rack, chances are they are the same, does it have a UJ in?
As for insurance, no point asking here, ask and insurance company that way you will get the right answer.

the metro rack has 2 UJ's in i think, its not expensive to ill get it and try it out
