Spent 7 hours fitting a unmolded navy newton commerical deluxe carpet & underlay!!!

quite a good fit, added a few snips here and there, did'nt need the press stud clips that came with the kit (just glue on certain pieces).

I must admit though I would have liked bound edges on the floor pieces.

Probably spent more time relocating the bolt holes again! lol

Pics soon once hoovered.

My backs bloody killing now.

Craig.

And I'm fitting a moulded one in the Summer too!
Quick question - is the moulded carpet on minispares.com the same as the Newton Commercial moulded carpet?

Hi mate

I don't think they are, as i was told that the newton was a much better fit and to go for that. so i did go for the newton carpet (moulded one) and the fit is near perfect just a slight couple adjustments and it was it in. looking better then factory finish. very pleased with mine.

I'm sure the one on minispares is a newton one, the part numbers are exactly the same as the ones on newton commercials website.

Edit: Oh and thinking about it i got my Newton Commercial moulded one from minispares in potters bar.

Pretty sure they are the Newton Commercial carpets on Minispares. Raz got one a few months ago, a moulded one, fitted really easily. Only took myself and Purple Tom about an hour altogether, including removing the seats and door seals, and putting them back.

this will be interesting to see the pictures. i fitted a £50 carpet from 'simply mad' as advertised everyweek in mini mag. i knew it wasnt going to be a great fit but it really has turned out to be carp! id like to see how much of a difference the extra £77 makes

I snipped the sill pieces a little short, so I called Newton this morning & they have sent out a new navy swatch (as each batch can vary) for me to confirm the colour match. Then two new pieces will be made £25! top quality service with plenty of knowlage...also very helpful bunch of people!
