I warn anyone reading this, that you have to be calm and determined before you attempt removing the master and clutch cylinders :P. I was on my back, on the bare metal floor, draped over the crossmember trying to pull out split pins with a pair of rusty pliers with leaves in my hair :shy:. Not the most fun experience i tell you!

I'm planning to be ditching the pathetic Mini heater with its rubbish demisting qualities and replacing it with my clever idea... I'll be putting several ceramic heaters under the dash rail, something like this one.

I'll just file the original vent holes bigger and mount it in them, then maybe make a third hole and putting one under that... I'll also be mounting a larger one behind a center console for cabin heat :shy:

Some may dislike this idea, but hey... It will at least be better than the pathetic Mini heater and will be cheaper than a heated screen.

got the clutch and master cylinders out, almost bursting a blood vessel.. i dont have the smallest of hands

i did that too today,... bloody clevis pin,... Little tip,... Get some R-clips instead of the bent wire. makes future removal and refitting much easier

** edit** oh and reagrding the ceramic heater,.. go for it.. but you might want to up the old alternator for some more jiuce or fit a larger battery too,.. also,.. it's worth keeping the heater matrix in just incase you need some extra water ability cooling, can make the difference on hot summers days idling in traffic jams :w00t:
