nice etype, like all the new pannels
keep it up

Thankyou :P

What a fantastic E-type. Bet you cant wait for all that free time to work on the Mini. Gone are the days of school holidays. I just about scrape together a few hours a week to work on the mini. In between work, looking after my son and sleeping.

Can't wait 'till the holidays! Glad you like the E-Type. Thats our old one, a 2+2 auto with a tall roof, possibley the least desireable e-type  but still loved it. We now have a manual soft top which we swapped in the 2+2 for >_<.

I wouldn't worry about the panel holes not lining up...

The panels should be pre-stressed to give the shell rigidity, you should need to flex the valance to make it fit.

I tried doing more drilling... Two drill bits when blunt and one of them snapped :D so i got fed up and attacked it with a chisel...

Wasn't the best of plans, :o but i stopped before i completely ruined anything. And dad kindly used an electric hacksaw to remove large rusty bits!

Valance is off

He also cut the sill off.... Reveling what we all love. Rust .

The hole in the boot..

And the culprits that stopped me working for a while.

Thats all from me

Well, updates again. Test fitted some of my panels because the weather was iffy.

Boot floor section, which because im a cheapskate is a pattern piece.

Right. Again, due to me being a cheapskate, i bought a pattern inner sill. Which doesn't fit.

That is a peachy looking little Mini.
Shame about the Yank plate shape spoiling the boot look.
