Some songs remind you of a cirtain time, or thing that happened to you in life. Some sad but lets have the happy ones.

Simply reds "if you dont know me by know" was playing as i slammed my van door and the window smahed. I had jumped the fence and been walking round the Eastenders set in Elstree at 1 in the morning with a few girls. had some fun with one under the arch!. then time for the drive back to Heathrow and smash!! I was freezing but buzzin all the way back!

makes me smile when i hear the song and when i see the arch on tv :bah:

Simply Red - Fairground

It was always on the radio when I went to visit my dad in London around 1995 time. Mum, my sister and I all lived in Herefordshire but my dad was in London. It was special going to see him at the weekend and it had some appropriate lyrics.

Driving down an endless road
Taking friends or moving alone
Pleasure at the fairground on the way
It's always friends that feels so good
Lets make amends like all good men should
Pleasure at the fairground on the way
Walk around, be free and roam
There's always someone leaving alone
Pleasure at the fairground on the way
And I love the thought of coming home to you
Even if I know we can't make it
I love the thought of giving hope to you
Just a little ray of light shining through

Love can bend and breathe alone
Until the end it finds you a home
Don't care what the people may say
It's always friends that feels so good
Lets make amends like all good men should
Pleasure at the fairground on the way
And I love the thought of coming home to you
Even if I know we can't make it
I love the thought of giving hope to you
Just a little ray of light shining through

Robert Miles- Children. One of my favorite songs, reminds me of doing Gymnastics when I was younger. We used to do floor routines to that song. Ah the memories! It always makes me feel happy that song.

Thats weird, I was going to say Simply red. Im not sure what album it is, but mum and dad used to always play it in the car when we were younger. It would be me, my little sister, and older brother sitting in the back of the car, driving home from Granny and Grandpa's house in the country every Sunday!! I can remember one particular drive back too!!

Golden Brown- The Stranglers. Its my parents song. Their favorite song and everything I hear it I think of them.

Wonderful world- Louis Armstrong. Reminds me of my Grandparents, it was played at their funeral. Makes me :D when I hear it.
Mika-Grace Kelly, and Lil Star- Kelis- played at one of my friends funeral last year. They were his favorite songs of that summer.

Lady in Red- Chris deBurg- Reminds me of a Holiday to Turkey when I was about 11 I think. We went to this restaurant and met a really nice guy that owned the restaurant. We spent many nights their, and he always had an album playing that had this song on and also 'Fields of Gold'. Fields of gold also reminds me of the last day at my secondary school,in year 11. My mates who were really good singers sang it infront of the whole yearon the last assembly. Was really nice!

Alicia Keys whole album reminds me of the time of year I bought it, and reminds me of one of my best friends as I went to see Alicia with him.

I have sooooo many memories of so many different times. I could list them all but Im sure that would tale forever

Angels - Robbie Williams;

Reminds me of my last years of compulsory education, it was sort of the theme tune for our year 'because we'd all sing it in most of the classes. Needless to say it wasn't very forgiving on the ear when it came to the chorus :(

Usher, Yeah - reminds me of my final and best year of uni. going out with my friends, it was always playing in the clubs.

Unkle Kracker, Follow Me - was playing on the way back from getting my A-level results from 6th form. random but i remember it well, got the results i needed and it meant i was leaving home and growing up! don't like the song but always brings back memories for me.

Zutons, Valerie - this was on heavy rotation listening to virgin radio solidly for a weekend in 2006, literally not leaving the radio trying to win tickets to get onstage for a Bon Jovi gig. I did it! woop woop! and it was amazing.

:( good times.

We built this city, Starship - this was playing on the radio as i crashed my mini into a ditch (perhaps it is the reason! :( ). cannot listen to it, to this day.

:) bad times.

Jude Law and a semester abroad - Brand New, Always reminds me of GCSE biology because we used to sing it most lessons.

All About You - McFly, reminds me of a friend at school because we used to parody this song by singing it in high squeaky voices.

Not The Same - Bodyjar
May 16 - Lagwagon
Motorhead - Ace of Spades, these always remind me of Tony Hawks Pro skater and the hours spent playing it.

Here's a few more:

The entire Italian Job soundtrack - took my mini to Turin for last new year, and hastily fitted a stereo to it before we left. Unfortunately, the stereo wouldn't play home made CDs, and the only original we had was the italian job theme... so it got a fair bit of play, especially when driving around Turin with the windows down! We also got it played in full at a bar south of Paris, and felt very small during the chants of "England" in "get a bloomin' move on." The locals were slightly confused, to say the least!

AC/DC, "Highway to Hell" - reminds me of a climbing trip to France a few years ago, in which of our 3 cars, we managed to crash one and roll another. After getting the crashed car fixed in the nick of time, and selling the rolled car to some locals, we ended up trying to catch the ferry with 5 people and camping gear crammed in my Peugeot, and 3 bouldering mats (big foam mats like gym mats) hastily tied and gaffa taped to the roof. after a few hours at 80 the mats started to flap around and threaten to fly off, so we had to complete the journey with all the windows open and an arm out of each one holding the mats down and stopping them flying away... and it was like this that we careered sideways into the ferryport with frostbitten arms, laughing hysterically, with a minute to spare and "Highway to hell" aptly blasting out!

Kelly Clarkson, "Since you've been gone"- Was my co-drivers alarm ringtone during the Mongol Rally, and hence now reminds me of waking up in rundown hotels in Central Asia, with a long days adventuring ahead.

Bob Marley, "Don't worry" - Always takes me back to a night in my tent, camped on a glacier 3,500m up in the Alps, with a bad storm coming in. Turning on my travel Radio resulted in a song which better suits carribean beaches than snowy mountains, and really put the stupidity of our situation into perspective.

And finally, Led Zeppelin, "that's the way" - was played at a friends funeral and is therefore in my mind synominous with the guy.

the funeral for a friend album (open all hours) reminds me of when we had to give our springer spaniel away to a better home, i hardly ever show emotions but it ruined me everytime i listened to it for a while.

summertime (fresh prince and jazzy jeff) reminds me of the summer hols when i was 14, just having fun, i.e water fights, football matches with all my old friends on the local park just put the front of my old place.

right on time (blackbox) reminds me of when my mum used to got out on a friday night and we would sit in with the babysitter and watch TOTP and boo the songs we hated on the countdown. then i would wake up to a bag of crisps at the end of my bed that my mum brought back for me lol..... god those were the days lol

incubus (morning view) reminds me of when i used to go out every friday with my mates, we would watch the morning view sessions dvd whilst having drinks and making way into town.

thats when my love for metal began, most albums i listen to now remind me of the fun i have a download festival. cant beat a bit of metal IMO.

one love by bob marley, dock of the bay by otis reading and beautiful boy by john lennon were the songs at my dads funeral. not been able to listen to them for nearly 4 years without feeling sad.

another girl, another planet covered by blink 182 reminds me of a girl i used to know who hurt me deeply last year, and who needed to grow up and stop toying with people.

Ah the memories.....

One for fun: Bon Jovi: Living on a Prayer

Dressed in delightful pastel shades and grey plastic slip-ons(this was the eighties afterall). Me and my college mates, drunk as skunks, in Crossways Nightclub. Standing in a wobbly circle in the middle of the dance floor singing our hearts out...

One for tears: Hot Chocolate: Emma

My long departed older brothers favourite song. Hazy memories but one he liked to sing on the toilet apparently. Still has a strong chance of reducing me to tears even after soooooo many years...

Teenage angst: Visage: Fade to Grey and Undertones: Teenage Kicks

Sunday nights sulking in my bedroom recording Anne Nightingale after the charts had finished on Radio 1

One for Lurve: Shania Twain: From This Moment

Mr and Mrs Bigends 'special choon'
