hi, I'm sure you can get adaptors for these that use the existing holes somewhere it also improves the angle to allow you to see more.
but if you want to fit them as they are then its a case of dropping the window to the bottom and removing the inside and outside chrome weather strips (should just carefully pull off) this will give you just enough access to get your fingers/spanner into

by adapter do you mean these? http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=36047

also if i get this adapter will i still need to drop the window to access to the bolts, i dont think i can do this as the front 1/4 window is in the way >_<.

The remove the window strip method is how we did my bro-in-laws, one thing we did find though was the glass in the n/s mirror was wrong , we couldn't adjust the mirror enough, swapped the glass and works fine..

Also I think those may technically be wing mirrors..which isn't a problem because its what I have fitted to my doors and my bro-in-law

yes those are the adapters I have seen, that allow the original holes to be used without going inside the doors

sorry, I just assumed you already had mirrors. standard mirrors have a threaded insert in the door skin if you haven't got these then you will have to drill and use bolts through the skin just as without the adapter but I do know that they improve the angle over the mirror directly fitted to the door. If your worried about the brand of mirrors then huddersfield mini spares do the adapters actuallly made by tex so could be a safer bet

right, you bolt the metal plate to the door, screw the bottom plastic base onto the plate (the plastic base is in two pieces), attach the mirror to the top part then join the two together if that makes sense lol
. I had a one years ago where there was 2 screws that went through the outside but I believe some are clipped together either way it will be fairly straight forward

hi i just received a reply from a question about the adapters, they said that You mount the adapters to the door and then the mirror screws onto that. i was just wondering if anyone here has used these, which way do you screw the mirrors in?

You have both made a mistake that a lot of people make when buying these mirrors, mostly due to poor product description from the seller.

You have bought wing mirrors. They're not meant to go on your door. The visibility will be absolutely terrible. (I've been there and done it myself)

There is a way of getting them on, you have to wind the window right down,.. have a tiny spanner on the inside with the not stuck to it (i found blue tack worked well) and if you're lucky and can thread the nut onto the bolt with the first turn of the spanner then you can get them on.

It's very difficult to attach these mirrors to doors and if you do,.. You wont see anything through them anyway. You'll find if you were to fit them to the wing they would be Very straightforward, that is afterall where they have been designed to fit.

You need these instead,... door mirrors.
CLICKY <-- see how they have a plinth that allows fitment to your door?

Here are some nicer looking ones with different plinths that will still fit your door:

I did mention right at the start of this topic they are technically wing mirrors, but like you've mentioned they do fit..We've got them fitted to 2 of ours, like I mentioned did have to change the glass in passenger side couldn't get enough adjustment with standard flat mirror glass
