Pickup76 is using 5x10 supaslots, I'm going to be using 6x10 supaslots.... any forseable with my 'extra inch?' :withstupid:

Suppose it depends on which way that inch goes!

Im not using super slots any more, running 10x5" wellers and they are super wide. Shouldnt be any probs with the wider super slots as i expect the wheels are pretty much identical apart from the extra inch but is it in or out? Hope you've got some nice wide archs for this. I need group 5's to over mine! Pic's

I believe the inch proabbly goes inwards, looking at your slots and mine, the offest appears to be identical, so the face of the wheel is not dished differently.

I was hoping to run Minispecial arches... they fit the back of the car perfectly with spacer drums on, just covering the tread. I'll have to see how much the fronts stick out.

I'm converting from drums to disks... so i take it'll need Disk type drive shafts too?

Yeh im sure they're 10x5" i thought they were 10x6" when i got them but i measured them when i was refurbing them. Ive also had my car along side one with 10x6" wellers and they arnt the same. I'd say the actual wheel rim is about 3" out from the body but with the tyre its abit more. Ive got group 5 race archs which are 3 1/2" and fit perfectly over the wheel tyre combo.

I have been doing some reading on the F-upgrade and me and a fellow member (who is doing all of the work) are currently upgrading to this setup on my car... I know the Mk2 calipers fit and I did read somewhere that someone fitted Mk3 calipers. Has anyone used the Mk3 setup? did the 10inch wheel still fit? I'm struggling to get Mk2 calipers, looking at the data I've got at the mo the Mk3 caliper takes the same thickness disc (10mm) and uses the same diameter piston 48mm. Just wondering if anyone has tried it???

i dont know of anyone that has used or even tried the mk3 calipers...

i got my mk2 calipers from a scrappy...

im sure someone posted to a link not sure if it was in this thread, might even have been on minifinity, but it a place where you could buy calipers i think they were new old stock but im not sure if they included the mouting bracket...

i reckon you should have a ganders round some scrapyards....

just re-read the thread where i first came across the conversion,

someone mentions in there mk3 calipers wont work because the master cylinder on a mini is too small...

heres the thread here

you might be able to find some mk2's here Fiesta Breakers

Thanks Mate going to give it a full read... Its strange because I got some data on the Mk3 non ABS solid disc caliper and it has the same size bore piston 48mm as the Mk2.

I know the XR2 is too big because I have some XR2 calipers and they take the vented disc which id 19.9mm wide and the solid disc is 10mm wide + the XR2 piston bore is 54mm wide... the Std solid disc Mk2 piston is 48mm...
