Tell me more about the 90 degree union uncle pickup :ermm:

Can it be made up like an adaptor to kill two birds with one stone?

its an adapter i added to the end of my braided hoses (actually used new hoses but only because they were knackered) in place of the straight twisting union i was using before. You can Prob get the bits to just add it onto the end of mini hoses but you'd have to talk to Mocal about that. I get a few pics tomorrow.

Yeah it does a bit, not much. You can take a bit off the hub as well to minimise the filing on the bracket ;D

If anyone is looking for fiesta calipers check out

www.fiestabreakers.co.uk

I got some from there yesterday, hesells them for £20 each, including the mounting bracket.

You can also choose between mk1 and mk2 calipers as he has plenty ;)

Hi!

I'm watching this topic for quite long time now and I've finally decided to make this conversion. As I already bought Mk2 fiesta' calipers, 10" revos are also on the way, I was hoping for some more information and photos - especially of this special made adapter for the brake hoses.
Any reports from people who made this conversion will be really appreciated.

Regards
macko

good stuff. ive just bought some hubs so will start modding them soon.

to someone who's done it...

how much do you have to remove from the hub mounting face to centralise the disc in the caliper?

when i did it about 6 yrs ago i did n t have to remove any thing from the hub.
just fitted the disc to the vented flange and the caliper fitted between the disc/hub spot on as far as i remember!

just outta interest, you mention the need for the metro flanges, or the use of spacers on the original mini item to push the calipers out to the correct distance so that the disk locates centrally..

what's the danger of using spacers once the bolts are torqued up and secure etc?

you dont, you remove metal from the carrier and/or the hub so the carrier mounts squarely on the hub. The metro drive flange does the job of centralising the disc.
