Ive just found a website that gives all the spec of fiesta calipers

it appears that

Mk3 fiestas without abs

Mk4 fiestas that are 1.25i manual, 1.3i and 1.8D use a 48mm dia piston for 10mm thick disks which is the same as the mk1's and standard non xr2 mk2's so i wonder if these caliper would fit onto mk2 carriers?

I know they use larger dia discs normally but doesnt the carrier determine the size of the disc (distance from the centre of hub) if that makes sense.

If these would fit this would make sourcing clipers even easier.

Anyone want to send me some XR2 carriers for cheap so I can test if they work on non xr2 calipers? *crosses fingers*

Finally got my brakes finished today !

Bled just the fronts and took it for a spin, they are feeling bit spongy compared to the 8.4" set up i took off though.

Would it be worth bleeding the rears as well ?

Looking good thoough and the MWS 6" x 10" wheels are looking good ! I'll post some picks when i get a chance.

Yes definitely bleed the rear as well as its easy to get air in the master cylinder if you're using the slit system and it'll effect both ends. The pedal should be rock hard (mine is) although when i first put mine on i had a problem with a spongy pedal, but about 3 weeks later i had a rear wheel cylinder fail and from then on its been perfect.

Jordie if you get the hub and bracket in your hand (once you've enlrged the hub hole diameters to 10.5mm - iirc)

you sohlud see that the webbing on the bracket fouls the hub so you have to releave a bit of the web to clear the hub

If you look on youtube there is a guide which shows which bit i mean aswell

Anyone know where I can order hoses? And roughly how much I should be looking to pay?

Is

Bulkhead fitting HETBF1-3 x2
Bulkhead nut BNS5/8W x2
Hose end E321-3 x2
Converter from imperial to mm MMS5-3-31 x2
copper washers WC-3/8 x6
Airoquip hose TFE3 32 32cm

A well known format? Theres a place near me that makes custom hoses, will they understand that?

Anyone else got any places to try and what did you ask for? cheers!

Moquip got a website?

Jordie
