My brakes are stripped now, I have one drive flange to bang out from the disc and then i can get the discs faced and turned.

I really hope i can use drum shafts for this lol...

Thats our plan as the inboard joints are different on the later drive shafts. So far every mini-dude I have spoken to said they will fit :(

Mine use inbound rubber joints not the later pot joints. TO switch to pot joints you also need to change the diff end, hence why I want to stick to the standard shaft... so far I have spoken to a few people on finity and at out club and everyone seems to think they will fit... we will see...

i wasnt thinking about the inner, more the outer in the drive flange.

i thought the outer was smaller thats why you have drum specific drive flanges.

read the description, MS Drum Type Drive Flange

The spline into the CV joint should be the same. I have the later disc braked CV joints and Metro Drive flanges. the plan in to use my drive shafts and the longer CV joints, disc braked hubs and metro vented disc flanges.

ah gotcha. i thought you were wanting to use the whole drum brake drive shaft.

As i mentioned earlier in the thread about fitting the banjos in the caliper and them fouling and not seating etc, Here is what i have done to Gr4h4m's.....

Here is the trouble to start with, the recess has been cut deep in the body (Not a problem really for Std Fit!!)

But for us to use banjo fittings it fouls like this

I have filed the majority of the material away but this will not allow it to seal

I have a machine cutter which will face a surface good enogh for the copper washers to seal, I have inserted a reduction bush which will make sure the cutter is square and central to the thread. It looks like this

Once it has been faced off, it looks like this

As you can see there is now no evidence of the fitting fouling either?

So were now ready to rebuild the hubs with new bearings & Ball joints, Change the shafts over from disc to drum and of course fit the fiesta conversion.
Here is all the parts required just to do the conversion:
Discs machined to 7.9"
Metro turbo flanges machined to accept the mini wheels
Goodridge hoses
Reconditioned Mk2 fiesta calipers For a soilid disc.

Damn, after watching those very good pics, I realized that I completely forgot to skim some metal from the calipers to fit the banjos.. and I just got them painted... :'(

you can do it with a fine file if your careful but wrap some emery paper around the file and polish the surface to make sure it will seal, i done it on my rear caliper as i didnt have the cutter when i first built my mini.
