Long one for you ere

Ok, so iv had a search and found some good info from various threads but i thought this must be a fairly common quesiton and deserves a dedicated, easily searchable thread

As some of you may have seen, I have some very very old hepolite pistons from a triumph spitfire with a rather large slit in the piston skirt, and this apparently isnt very good... and i can imagine it probably isnt

so, after much deliberation I've decided to replace them before its too late... the question is, what do I replace them with??

Omega offset 7cc dish looked to be my initial choice - offset dish gives a better position under the plug... however after some reading people seem to be saying they have a thinner ring thickness or something to that effect, causing more oil burning and possible losses in life

What are you opinions on this? How many miles (and what kind of driving) have you subjected a set of omegas to? and the same question concerning powermax and the minispares megapiston range?

in short...

Pro's vs cons - GO!!! :shifty:
