Try here Dale

e-bay roof scoops

Theres a few which might do the job.

I also noticed another guy on here, he's just had his Mini back from paint, Grey in colour, 2 NASA ducts in the rear 1/4's - looks very good.

Custom_minis- check out my latest images on my thread for piccies of your Mk1 bootlid. It's not fitted correctly at the moment, so will look loads better when done properly. Feel free to nick 'em for your site though if you like....

Have you considered Naca ducts Dale? Designed by Naca engineers (fore-runner to Nasa) to draw air in from a flat surface. Problem with anything mounted in the roof is that it will let water in, unless there's a low point for drainage before the airbox.

I was considering mounting the naca ducts in the floor, but the airflow under the car is probably more disturbed than down the side of the car. Must admit, scoops do look the business.

The main reason for a roof box would be to get the induction noise down. If i was to fit side pods i would need an airbox making for the carbs. Without an airbox there wouldnt be any noise reduction. The Naca ducts do look very good though!

I don't think i need to do anything now anyway as the car is passing noise test at Castle Combe ok with a standard R1 airbox (significant power loss noted) and there were much louder cars on driveby noise than mine after a sneaky swap back to the TTS foam filter!!

I know what you mean about the power Ade, these minis feel ridiculously quick on the road and make you laugh every time. If you are just using it as a road car then i wouldn't bother with any more tuning.

Has anybody noticed my car doing the 0-60 run on the zcars website?

:w00t: :(

That time was with about half a second bogging down off the start and only running 3/4 max throttle movement!!

Its even quicker now!!!  :w00t:
