I know Witney quite well- was there all last weekend at an annual reunion with the outlaws. The nearest town to me is Leamington Spa, so approx. 45 mins from Witney I guess.
Can't wait for the day we all get together for a bit of an outing, but the way things are going, it'll probably be the depths of winter before I'm ready to turn a wheel.
Any further plans to enhance your mini then?

I checked my mail but i didnt receive anything...
I have got mine booked in at Simpons race exhausts for a new link pipe to be made so that i can use a normal R1 titanium can. The one i got in the kit is far too loud for track days.

I was also thinking of doing the same with mine, I really like the idea of the bike can exiting out of the boot plus it gives it a bit more ground clearance!!!!DD

All depends what the bathroom scales say???The next mod in my quest for lightness will be to cut the inside of the doors out. They look quite neat when cut out and should allow me to lose another few Kg!

I bet the window mechanism's in the doors weigh a lot aswell??
I fancied keeping the glass etc but as im stripping the car it is going further away from being original, and being a lightweight racer!!!!!!!

I had perspex windows inmy old rally car and they were terrible for noise and vibration in the car, as if i havnt got enough of it already???
Looking forward to the latest pics!!!

Are you at any of the shows in the next 2 weeks??

I think the inner skins will be about 1.5-2Kg per side as door cards are 1.25Kg each.
I am not too keen on perspex windows as, personally, I think they look a bit shabby and i like to be able to have the window open to get some fresh air in the car and feel less claustrophobic. Hence, the best combination was to have no windows at all!! Also, even though the car was MOT'd i have no intention of using it on the road, I am paying too much road tax and insurance on my other cars!!

I am hoping the weather will be ok for Castle Combe on September 24th, will you be there??

I've found I have a clearance issue to the inboard driveshaft gaitor with the exhaust supplied from Z-cars. As a result I'm getting a custom end can made up by "the carbon can company" in Fleetwood. Going for an oval can to improve ground clearance and clearance to the gaitor, and you can also fit dB eaters to help with sound deadening at trackdays. Then take it off afterwards and deafen pedestrians, and small furry animals. This solution also avoids the extra weight (!) of a mid section.

Well im scrapping the exhaust from z-cars alltogether and fitting a micron 4-1 manifold and having a fab company do some stainless pipe to bring it up before the diff and exit out of the boot with a micron titanium can.Just read your latest posts guys. I don't know what happened to the email, but I did attempt to send it from home instead of work (bad move).
