I am also scrapping the standard heater controls and using some from a modern car to control the flap, heat and fan.

the whole car has now been resprayed inside and out, and considering the whole job only cost about the £160 mark im pretty chuffed.
there is some orange peel and dull overspray in some places but nothing cutting it back with 1500 grit and buffing with g3 cant solve.
cosidering i have never sprayed before i am liking the result. I decided to go for the cream roof to match the interior. As you can see i have removed the engine again but it seemed far better this way as there is less to mask and cover up.

also changed the honda dials for white ones (still have to paint the needles red)

also modified the honda clutch master to fit and work in the same place as the mini master. basicly i cut the base down and redrilled the holes to fit mini pedal box, made the hole in the bulkhead and peadal box slightly bigger, removed the honda push rod and replaced it with a cut down (13mm removed then welded back together) mini push rod and bobs your uncle. i will upload pics later on today when i go and work on it.

the engine subframe and running gear was all put in today, along with the brake servo, clutch all connected up with good travel and steering column put back in. Thank god its back on 4 wheels now, can see the light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully will get the wireing done soon to get it fired up.
pics coming next weekend of the car.

a few new purchases including the allspeed alternator bracket, brand new font indicator/sidlights that were silly price considering what they are, and an uprated ally race rad with slim line fan.
The biggest milestone reached was that i test fired the engine and she fired up straight away even though its been a over a year since it was last run.
The gear linkage has also been remade by myself with a short shifter. this means that if i put wheels on it i could drive it. but i am resisting the urge to until its %100 done. anywho hears some pics to keep you guys interested

both inner wings where cut as was the bulk head and a large box welded in, ts expensive but well worth it. depends on what set up you go for but from what i have read if you want to retain the fun of a normal mini with the performance the allspeed and minitec is the way forward. just pm me if you have any specific questions.
