Got a 3 day weekend coming up. Gonna sort the 1380 with any luck, get both doors and A panel done, then hopefully can start thinking about the front end.

Priority is getting the engine driveable though. Speaking of which my crank turned up today and it looks spot on.

Not been arsed to put much in here for a while. Been messing about with engines/cranks and trying to get a driveable car. Fingers crossed its better now, but oil pressure has dropped 5psi up top in all conditions after it being in since last weekend. Drives OK, no knocks, leaks etc. so hoping its just my gauge being gay. Might try to get another. Also might try the bullet type PRV again.

Anyways been off the Vaux for a while - messing about with A series stuff, losing motivation a little and other stuff has taken priority. But I should be able to concentrate on it again now. So saved up and am now the proud owner of an S80 PRO DTA ECU! :). Supports full TC and launch over the S60 i think, with more AUX channels I can use for EGT etc. Only one more major purchase left which should be the ITB's. Everything else is crap like valves and springs etc.

Might try mocking some stuff up and look into injecting the 1380 just so I get the hang of DTA before it runs the Vaux. Would rather have a play about with it on an engine that doesn't really matter.

Front has also been modified a tad to get a bit of air flowing across the 'box and block, as the oil was getting seriously hot. As in not even being able to touch the oil cooler pipes hot. 100 times better now anyways.

So thats about stuff up to date I think. Vaux is still not machined as I CBA. I keep saying I'll do it, but I might later on in the week as I have a couple days off.

Was a bit of a mission to fit, but no different from any other flip front I guess. It came from ABS motorsport. Tony is extremely helpful!!!, and even gave me a discount on 16v!. Deffo recommended if you ever need composite panels for anything.

Kent Cams sticker came directly from them I think. Just emailed them asking for "some stickers for my track car" and they sent me a few. Free advertising for them anyways.

Also pressure is back where it should be. Just played with the PRV for 5 secs and it's shot back up again. Maybe it was just some crap on the seat.

Tidied the car up a bit today. Slapped around some seam seal and stone chip. Also connected it up to the laptop to make sure MJ is doing everything it should be. It wasn't. MAP sensor had broke again, was about due anyways to be fair as I bodged it up last time. This meant that advance map was more of a 2D curve from 10-33 degrees. So put a spare one in, tried again and jobs a goodun. Did an ultra quick mapping sesh and it seems to run much better than it did.
