Well thats a bit *******.

Changed the oil pump tonight as it turned up. Done it in about 2hrs 15 which wasn't too bad considering it was ******* down. Thought "do well thats sorted it". Has it *******. Got approximately 0psi more than I started with. Changed the PRV to the bullet type, no difference. So that'll be another A series I'll be running into the ground. No holding back now, full RPM in each gear whether it likes it or not. Bit gay but at least it hasn't messed my weekend up now and I can get mullered Friday night.

Bag of crap to be honest. Blew an oil seal coming home from work, ******* oil all over the clutch plate. I reckon the reason for the seal fail was because the crank was wobbling about like a goodun!!

So new crank - maybe bearings, clutch plate, oil seal and try again. Half tempted to get new rings and bearings for the 998 I took out, but this power is too awesome to leave behind. 4th gear wheel spins rock.

Unlucky, may aswell spend money on the 1380 though. Would probably cost the same to do the 998 wouldn't it?

Guess so, but I do have a mint 998 crank spare. No decent 1275 ones. The only one i have is totally funked, plus the one I'm replacing!

Suppose I can look at it as "testing" before it goes in the minus?

Classifieds LOL. £77 posted, for a fresh +20 grind. Which suits as I have +20 bearings, but I think i'll need a standard set of big ends, as its a half regrind job. minidaves has a standard grind crank for sale if anyone wants one.
