Unfortunately no :D

Still in need of a matching pair of doors, so if anyone has any laying about I'll have em. Skins can be mullered just need solid frames

Its looking good tom, i like the door skins and the boot floor, i'm going to be fitting one of those floors soonish. I would say 'Fit That Engine!' but your better off taking your time, it will payoff when you finally get to drive it.

I threw two out the other day as the skins were dead, I realise now even half dead doors are worth money! :)

Just money holding me up getting the block machined to be honest :). Probably about halfway though the spending spree for the engine now :). It will 100% be worth it though. You can't rush perfection! (or something like that :))

Please :). I'm definitely an expert at scraping moneys myself!

Got some bits from demon thieves last week to do the porus mod on the XE head. Basically involves blocking an oilway as the KS heads are known to crack between an oil and waterway. Either re-route the flow externally though a pipe or by sleeving the old oilway with a tube. I've decided to do both :)

Also got some Ti Probolt grub screws, but they messed the order up for me. Wanted blue anodized but they sent me regular ones :). CBA with the hassle of sending back to be honest.

Fact: No :mmkay:

Head off tomorrow. Gotta do guides/stem seals and bit of porting work, nothing crazy though. Will also fit my decent double valve springs as i get valve bounce about 6900 with the tired standard ones.

Nothing very interesting i know, but it's gotta be done.

Got bored. Head is off. And glad I did take it off too. Found out my valve cut-outs are in the wrong place for a 940 head. So my valves have "modified" the cutouts for me :mmkay:. Also the gasket was failing between 3+4. Not surprised TBPH. Its been over heated several times and had have revved the tits out of it. Bored are glazed over but ******* it - runs ok.

Smoking prob. was due to stem seals going rock hard :). Guides are OK but swapping them with some bronze efforts. Hopefully some porting tomorrow. Then lap valves in, fit double springs, give it a clean up and jobs a goodun.

Few hours on chamber work:

Why not stick the 1380 in?. Well It would need shell bearings which would depend on condition of the crank as It's already had a +20 grind, ring set, push rods, oil pump and gaskets. I'm not really a fan of just whacking engines together with old worn parts as it will always come back to bite your arse, and I can't really afford new parts for a 1380 right now,and to be honest I would rather spend the money on the Vaux!
