The plot thickens.... :dontgetit:

I'll strip a load of old hubs down tomorrow then, see if that helps me. There wasn't one in there when i changed the bearing on mine, but that doesn't mean its right.

:(

I don't suppose you know whether I should have a spacer between the 2 bearings in the hub? Luke seems to think there should be something in there, but nothing dropped out :S

I seem to remember being one when I first did mine. Just had a look through my haynes and it shows one being in there.

However on the last one I rebuilt to fit onto mine, I don't think there was one. Although im running the 8.4" hubs, but I think there the same internally.

The same hubs are used for 7.5 and 8.4'' brakes ( Tom's running 8.4's anyway :( ) i deffinatly had a tubey spacer thing in mine when i changed them, but i dont see that causing your problem as it just fill the gap between the bearings?? i say give genuine bearings ago :(

Ohh and i want to see carbon aswell!!!

Can't tell you how much I appreciate this :) Saved me a load of hassle stripping hubs down.

Deffo no spacer thing in the Hub, so i need to get one from somewhere. Good thinking with the seals, but I'm sure they were on right :/
