I was going to weigh it but didn't find time to as i had to stare at the printer to make sure the IVA manual stacked itself in order :)

I used 44mm most places and 35mm on the inner sills basically because thats all i had :). I can definitely recommend the Bosch Cobalt holesaws from Screwfix! Not cheap but definitely the best holesaw I've used, and i use loads at work!

I'll weigh it tomorrow :P

Cheers mate, does the back seat appear to be just as strong?

I was going to do this, purely for weight saving though.

Thinking about getting a hole swager to finish them and introduce a bit of strength back into the shell.

Do you have a cage?

Ben

No cage, but i will do eventually. And yes i was going to get a hole flaring tool as well but havn't got round to ordering one yet. And doesn't feel like any strength is lost in the seat at all!

Well i did do something in the end! Got the bonnet in the garage for some treatment, and while i was at it found a bit more rusty rusty! Made a repair and welded it up anyways. Also weighed the removed metal and got a nice surprise!

OK it looks gay in that picture :teehee: I tidied it up up a bit more after that and welded in the bonnet catch.

Do well :mrcool:

Yesterdays removed metal came to 421g but with the bonnet as well the total comes in at 621g not bad IMO! For reference if your interested Ben, each 44mm disc comes in at about 8g.
