It wasn't really to save weight (well OK the seat was) but primarily to give access to the box sections where rust seems to start. This way it gives a bit of air circulation to dry it out, and i can also cram a load of underseal or similar in. :) Will do some more to save a little more weight, but i got bored after that lot and the drill was getting fairly warm!!!!!

Friday night i also stripped the F20 gearbox, ready for a general clean up and a Quaife LSD.

Will be changing the track rod ends to QH spitfire ones instead of the longer mini type ones. I've had 4 wear out in under 6 months!! Though the Minisport ones lasted longer than the Minispares ones :).

Fancied a bit of light reading as well:

Fun fun fun :).

And just a random one showing how clean 6mm plate is cut with the Plasma:

Back on the frame tomorrow and sticking the F20 'box back together!

Oh yeah, also got one of these bad boys as our cheapo Halfords one wasn't meaty enough to get the top subby bolts out!

I was going to weigh it but didn't find time to as i had to stare at the printer to make sure the IVA manual stacked itself in order :)

I used 44mm most places and 35mm on the inner sills basically because thats all i had :). I can definitely recommend the Bosch Cobalt holesaws from Screwfix! Not cheap but definitely the best holesaw I've used, and i use loads at work!

I'll weigh it tomorrow :P
