Gave the car a bit of a going over today seeing as the worst of the weather now seems to be over. Ripped the carpets up as they seem to be doing more harm than good by stopping the floor pans from drying out. Dried the floor out and found a couple more bits of rust FFS!!!! Something thats appeared since i done the overhaul last year. Rust formed between the heavy front seatbelt plate (in the sill) and the inner sill / floor pan and rotted through and a bit in the corner of the rear floor. Cut the bad out with PLASMA POWER!, shot blasted, protected, and welded in the new. Got the rear one to do tomorrow. Gave the car a good going over with underseal as well as chunks of ice had taken all the protection off underneath the car!!
Also "adjusted" my door skin (read as: leaning against wall and stuck foot into the door) because the monkeys never fitted the skin correctly when it was accident repaired. This let gallons of water into the car and rested in the floor pans. But that should be sorted now. And finally my minispares order came, so i could fit my new set of door handles all round.
