20W50 Duckhams. On the old engine i had about 50psi when hot at idle, and that got thrashed to buggery. Still really new for a fresh build engine though! its only gonna get worse!

mate on a rebuild ALWAYS change the oil gallery plugs, they could be filled with muck and swarf, if they are too dirty they can have an affect on your oil Pressure

Never been a problem before! but thanks for that!, the lumps coming out so ill replace them.

Question, on the gearbox is there a central oil pickup fitted?

My engine goes to 22/25psi on idle when warm and off motorways, has done since new.

22psi seems really low though! . Dont minispares sell an oil pressure switch that kicks in at 21psi?

Hell before I rebuilt Poos engine it gave about 5psi on tickover!!

Does it have a "death rattle" yet?

Do you have a picture of the type fitted?

I had one previously fitted and that at times gave me 0 oil pressure when running.

No death rattle just a blowing exhaust! I dont want to risk it much longer now to be honest. last thing i want is to lose oil pressure completely and spin a main bearing.

mine when cold gets 70psi then at idle whe very hot it goes as low as 20psi even tho all the shells crank etc etc are only 6000miles old.
