One other thing - oil pressure is 25psi at idle after a good run, so im crapping bricks ATM. If it gets lower then its engine out time, even though its on new shells all round.

25 psi at idle isnt too bad.

Anyway good progress, are you spraying it anytime soon?

Yeah 25 is OK, but any less and ill start to worry. Basically gonna get it sprayed as soon as i can afford it / when stuff stops breaking. Probably end up doing it ourselves to be honest.

Yeah, oil leaks aren't great, spent the last week tring too stop my timing cover leak.

Went to work and back in the mini today and NO LEAKS! Exhaust needs re-sealing though as it sounds like ive got a "halfords special" zorst can on above 5k.

That oil pressure does sound a bit low on a fresh build..Hate to say it...

I know ;D. Cant think why :S unless the shells where bad tolerance.

Worst comes to worst, ill get my old crankshaft out, get it reground, new oversize shells and try again. Thats unless its something gay like oil pump?

doubt it mate, although the quality of oil pumps these days is suspect
could be a bit of swarf that has worn the journals and the bearings, and worn them away slowly.
