Hi, I was wondering how you get the effect of having the Exhaust tailpipe tucked up in the rear valance with a cutout... Instead of having it being hung below the valance.

I love the style of having the exhaust up, but you can't do it with a van because of the petrol tank is that right? because I would love to do this!

The exhaust on a van goes round the N/S side of the fuel tank, and has a fair bit more pipe after the rear mount, so should be relatively simple to put a cut-out in the rear valence and the closing panel behind it (possibly using part of a larger diameter pipe than the exhaust to close the resulting hole off) and then re-shape the pipe after the mount on the back of the rear subframe to move it up - that way you can stick with standard mounting points.

my rear brackets made my tail sit high for some reason.. so i just cut a little semi circle in the valance....
i suppose it may look out of place unless your bottom is lowered though

On both my cars i had also cut the rear beam out of the rear subframe , on my Red Mini 30 i had also flat plated the boot floor where as on my turbo i just tunelled it.

A louvre (louver) made by Autoplas. If you search you'll find lots of mentions.

on my old estate i had moved the tank inside and had the exhaust coming out of the rear valance.

You can just about see it in this pic (it's the one on the left)
