what would be the best way to tune a clubman 1275GT?

head, cam, aftermarket TB's?

In this order (cheapness):

Stage 1 kit (exhaust, LCB, alloy inlet manifold, uprated carb needle)
Milder cam (MG Metro one is good for power + driveability, plus very cheap)
Cylinder head
Reboring block, machining crankshaft etc. Limited by your imagination and wallet
Nitrous
Turbo
Supercharger

Best place to start is with a good inlet and exhaust system, followed by a good head (like the ones I make :)) then a cam. Cam change is an engine out job tho...

mine is a 1275 gt block so u can seen the modifiactaions iv made, i would suggest a 12g940 yead to modify and then mayb an SW5 cam by swift tune to keep it drivable

Naa, gotta be a Kent 276 or at a push and depending what kinda drivablity your after maybe a 286 cam...

I dont rate the Sift tune or Piper cams much, never had much improvement from em...

really,u got any experience with the sw5? isd was based on the 997s cam, its surposed to b rally good iv herd loads of good things about it!


im considering going for that or the 276 in the summer, and mayb a rebore

Had a mate who ran a Swift Tune, it was flat and unreliable. Checked all the timin figures and they were all good, jus seemed to lack power unlike the Kent...

Dont forget, the bigger your engine size, the more the cam will be smoothed out...

min shows arer always good for cheaper prices though.

or if you looking for it to b as a package, iv heard that MED engineering are quite good

MED are the best you can get, a few of me racin mates use them and they are very good quallity... But you pay for what you get tho...
