Will be looking to take the engine back out again in the next week or so. Need to have the block looked at. Can anyone advise what I will need to have looked at and replaced? I am told the Piston Rings will be a good start...

Help would be muchly appreciated

Thanks

J

Think i need to rename this project "project nothing goes to plan"

Also now considering re-painting the block black and the cylinder head purple - thorts ne1? mite have it photoshopped to see what it looks like

car looks great shame about l2b. can see from your pics the smoke looks to white to be oil does it smell like oil or really horrible (burning anti freeze) those brass plugs can be a bugger.

Couldnt say to be honest. All I know is the only part of the engine not new now is whats in the block.

New Jack purchased - Full day Satdee penciled into the diary for operation "get that feking block out again"...

Just hope nothing else goes wrong. In an ideal world, I want the block out Satdee and off to my engine man by the end of next week. Should go back together fairly smoothly after that (i hope)....

halesowen engines are great, great lot of old boys who know what they're doing and don't charge what they don't need to.

Id totally agree there mate. They've knocked about £70 off the price for me and threw in a few bits on the side free of charge!! If the engine comes back as described, I will be chuffd to pieces :teehee:
