This is the finished kit.

If there is enough interest I will make an inlet and have a limited run of copies made for people who want them.
I'm not looking to proffit so all costs would be shared by each unit 9more ordered the cheaper they will be)
Let me know guys

Thats the cleanest looking bay i have ever seen. where did you get the carbon fiber rockercover from?

Thanks, I have seen better than this though.

The rocker cover was a one off that was made by a guy who worked at an F1 garage making parts for the race cars. He made it for his son but his son got fed up with his mini project and sold it off i parts.

When I sold the car the new owner was told that I wanted this back and was a condition of sale but when I sent him the new chrome one he refused to send the carbon one back to me. Thieving scumbag!

Cheers. Cool stuff. Yeah it's been installed for just over two years now. I believe it is running around 110bhp at around 6000RPM. It's been pretty reliable though after sorting a few initial teething problems. It's fairly standard to be honest, it's a 1275cc Rover Mini Sprite. It was one of the very last carb Mini's...

The engine internals are completely standard as is the head except for some 1:5 roller tip rockers and double valve springs. It has a HIF44 carb with a little electric heater that I installed in the air filter to prevent icing. It has a Minispares 2 core radiator and a 82degree thermostat. Had to sort out an additional breather running from the rocker cover too. Otherwise it's standard. I have been tempted to change the head and cam but to be honest it goes really well so until I have any problems I think I'll just keep it as it is.

Samco also do them, as well as all shapes and sizes so you can make your own if you like.
