Hey Guys,
I was looking at my scabby old engine bay and wondering. Whats the easiest way to clean it all up to get it looking nice? Without stripping it all to bits then reassembling....

This is the finished kit.

If there is enough interest I will make an inlet and have a limited run of copies made for people who want them.
I'm not looking to proffit so all costs would be shared by each unit 9more ordered the cheaper they will be)
Let me know guys :genius:

hi, do still make the kit.. i am extremely interested.

That air filter looks BEASTLY. What type is it, will it fit 998cc and is it hard to fit?
P.s the engine is looking great!

Yeah I would like to know too, mines a total mess since the radiator decided to erupt filthy looking and smelling water.
The joys of mini ownership :)

A product called 'GUNK' get it on with a little brush, let it dry, then wash/wipe it off with a damp cloth. Might need to leave longer or do a couple of coats to get thick Sh*t off. I used it on mine, before painting it. All i removed when painting mine was the plugs, leads, rocker cover and coil, and the grille! :)
Was a weekends work, and I think it looks alright  the new project engine will be a lot better, as it has no front end!! :) So easy access lol

GUNK is not as good as it use to be bk before it had to be friendly so its all much the same now. I cover up the electrics and gave it a quick pressure wash and it had no problems starting and looked very clean.

I considered that, mates got a pressure washer, how did you cover up the electrics and how careful were you ?
