Got mine in and done, except I guess the picture below doesn't show the K&N cone fitted. In case you're wondering why I didn't tart up the engine bay some more, going to be pulling the lot again for a full respray some day, so not worthwhile doing anything more right now.

Let me know guys
I will deffinatly have one of those it looks ace:) just pm me as soon as any more details are available

Errm.....not sure who Mini Gal is speaking to there.
Think its you mate.
As for the induction kit...
I guess I'm gonna have to get cracking on a master item and then contact a fibre gash company
Thanks for the great replies

the reason radiators are painted black is that black disipates the heat better than any other colour
even if you buy an ally one it would be even better to paint it black
surley this amount of practicality overcomes the need for something that looks a bit different
dontn get me wrong they can look nice, but they wont be as efficient at keeping cool

Where is the air filter leading back to? How have you modded the carb to allow that to fit? - looks like an extra chamber of sorts?
Is there much difference performance wise from the positioning of that filter with it being able to catch more of the cold air than before?
Hi
The carb is not modded at all, bolted to the back of the carb is a modified maesto (or was in montego??) carb inlet that had the inlet neck cut off and relocated at a slightly different angle.
If you get one, cut it into bits and tape it back together untill its in the right shape and then take it to a fabrication company that has the gubbins to weld alloy. then you have a nice custom inlet.
The polished inlet tube is just a bit of boost pipe thats readily available from ebay, as was the filter and the silicone bend.
The whole kit cost me £40 to produce max.
There was a great improvement in mid to high range torque as I was not sucking in hot air from over the exhaust and it also seemed to stop the needle freezing up in winter.
A cheap mod that was something a little different.
It was done a couple of years back now but I still get asked about it, Maybe I should make another and have it moulded in fibre glass or carbon and market them as a kit?
What do people think?
i would be very interested in one! reckon it would work for a 998?
